Nuvo vs Levels: Daily Biological Age or Glucose Coaching?

Pick Levels for CGM metabolic coaching ($15/mo or $80/yr app). Pick Nuvo for a daily 21-biomarker biological age on iPhone. Different jobs; they can stack.

Nuvo vs Levels: daily biological-age iPhone app compared with a CGM metabolic health coach

Choose Levels if you want a metabolic-health membership: meal logging, optional continuous glucose monitoring, and glucose-focused coaching in an account-based app. Choose Nuvo if you want a daily biological age on iPhone and Apple Watch from 21 biomarkers — HealthKit wearables plus optional lab PDF — with on-device AI, no account, and $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. They are different jobs. Levels is not a daily biological-age clock. Nuvo is not a CGM coach. Many people who already wear a sensor still want that daily age number; they can stack.

What each product actually sells

Levels: a metabolic health / CGM coach

Levels (Levels Health Inc) markets itself as “the most trusted name in metabolic health” and “the company that brought glucose monitoring into everyday metabolic health.” The homepage job is to help you “see how food affects your health”: meal logging (text, photo, or barcode), macros, habit tracking, optional CGM, optional labs, and programs around glucose, heart health, and weight. You can “bring your own CGM or get one through Levels,” connect Apple Health and wearable data, and upload prior labs.

The score Levels publishes is not a daily biological age. Levels’ support article What Health and Nutrition Data Levels Tracks (last updated 17 July 2026) lists, with a connected Stelo or compatible CGM: glucose on a Timeline, Glucose Response scores (meal scores, 0 to 10), a Stability Score (60 to 100) for 24-hour glucose stability, and spike flags. Activity, sleep, heart rate, and weight can import from Apple Health or Android Health Connect. Labs and uploaded bloodwork sit in the same membership app. That is metabolic coaching with glucose as the headline signal — not Nuvo’s 21-biomarker daily age.

The iOS app is Levels - Metabolic Health (id 1481511675), iPhone, iOS 16.6+. In-app purchases on that listing (checked 9 September 2026) are Monthly $15.00 and Annual $80.00. The listing says the app is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Apple’s privacy nutrition label for Levels is Data Linked to You (contact info, identifiers, usage, diagnostics). You create a Levels account. Levels’ homepage states HIPAA-compliant and SOC 2-compliant systems and that it does not sell personal health data.

Pricing has two public layers, and we will not collapse them into one invented number. Levels Pricing and Plans (last updated 18 June 2026) sells membership at $15/month or $80/year, with CGM sensors and lab panels as optional add-ons: Stelo biosensor subscription $89/shipment (2 sensors, ~15 days each) or a one-time two-pack at $99; Basic Lab Panel $99 (28+ biomarkers); Comprehensive Lab Panel $399 (100+ biomarkers); functional nutritionist session $250. The same article lists Core — $499/year and Complete — $1,999/year as plans you may already be on. The Levels homepage (checked 9 September 2026) still markets three starting paths: Build your system at $15/mo or $80/year, Core at $499/year, Complete at $1,999/year. If a figure is plan-specific, we say so rather than pick a “typical” total.

Nuvo: a daily 21-biomarker score

Nuvo Longevity (App Store: Nuvo: Longevity Coach, id 6762535065) is an iPhone and Apple Watch app. It calculates a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers: Apple Health / HealthKit data from Apple Watch, Oura, or Garmin, plus optional lab PDF upload so results you already paid for sit in the same score.

Coaching runs as on-device private AI (Nuvo Intelligence). There is no account. Apple’s privacy nutrition label for Nuvo is Data Not Collected. Price is $4.99/month or $24.99/year after a 7-day trial — $24.99/year is $2.08/month billed annually. Nuvo does not sell a CGM, does not write glucose meal scores, and does not schedule Levels lab panels.

Nuvo is not Levels’ Stability Score, Glucose Response score, or metabolic program. It does not replace a sensor on your arm. If the job is “see what this meal does to glucose, with optional CGM and a membership coach,” that is Levels. If the job is “one daily biological age from 21 biomarkers, including optional labs, privately, on the phone you already carry,” that is Nuvo. Download app. For the wider field, see our 2026 biological age app comparison. For a 160+ lab membership rather than a CGM coach, see Nuvo vs Function Health. For another wearable contrast, see Nuvo vs Oura. Glucose as a longevity marker is covered separately in HbA1c and biological age.

Comparison table

Levels Nuvo Longevity
Score focus Metabolic / glucose coaching: meal Glucose Response scores (0–10) and a 24-hour Stability Score (60–100) when a compatible CGM is connected. Not a daily biological-age clock. One daily biological age from 21 biomarkers on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Data sources Optional Stelo or compatible CGM; meal logging; Apple Health or Health Connect (sleep, steps, heart rate, workouts, weight); optional Levels lab panels or uploaded bloodwork. HealthKit from Apple Watch, Oura, or Garmin, plus optional lab PDF into the same 21-biomarker score. No CGM hardware SKU.
Privacy / account Account required. Homepage: HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2-compliant, data not sold. App Store privacy label: Data Linked to You. No account. On-device private AI (Nuvo Intelligence). Apple privacy label: Data Not Collected. Data is not sent to Nuvo servers and is not sold. See on-device AI and privacy.
Price model App membership $15/month or $80/year on the US App Store and support pricing page (18 June 2026). CGM and labs are add-ons (e.g. Stelo $89/shipment or $99 two-pack; Basic Panel $99 / 28+ markers; Comprehensive $399 / 100+). Homepage still lists Core $499/year and Complete $1,999/year; support calls those legacy if you already subscribed. $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial. No sensor and no lab draw is bundled.
Who it’s for People who want to see how food, sleep, and training move glucose — and will wear a CGM and keep a membership account. People who want one daily 21-biomarker biological age on the iPhone they already own, optional labs they already paid for, no account, at $24.99/year.
App / platforms iPhone app (Levels - Metabolic Health). Support also documents Android Health Connect sync. Not an Apple Watch biological-age app. iPhone + Apple Watch app (Nuvo: Longevity Coach). Not Android.
App Store ratings US listing we checked: 4.7 from about 6.7K ratings. Cite the listing; we do not publish a schema.org rating object on this page. Honestly thin: 5.0 from 4 US ratings. Do not treat that as a large review corpus.

Where Levels wins

Levels wins if the job is glucose in context of meals. A CGM plus meal scores is the product they pioneered for non-diabetic metabolic health. Nuvo does not claim to beat Levels at real-time glucose response, Stability Score, or food logging. If that is the product you came to buy, buy Levels.

Levels also wins on metabolic program depth: AI food logging, habit loops, and named programs (Heart Health, Weight Loss, Glucose Stability, Metabolic Exploration on the support pricing page). Optional clinician review and lab panels (28+ or 100+ markers, depending on SKU) are membership add-ons or bundled in Core/Complete. Nuvo’s optional lab PDF is not a Quest draw Levels schedules for you.

Scale is not close. Levels’ US listing had on the order of 6.7K ratings when we looked it up. Nuvo’s App Store presence is early: 4 ratings. That gap is real. We are not going to inflate four ratings into social proof, and we do not publish a schema.org rating object for Nuvo.

Where Nuvo wins

Nuvo wins on the daily biological-age job. Levels’ headline scores are glucose response and stability. Sleep, HRV, training load, and optional labs do not become one biological-age number in Levels’ public docs. Nuvo recalculates a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers so those signals — including optional blood markers such as HbA1c and fasting glucose — can sit in one clock.

Nuvo wins on price if you already own an iPhone and a watch (or ring) and do not want a sensor subscription. $24.99/year versus $80/year membership plus optional Stelo shipments or a $499–$1,999 bundled plan is not a like-for-like discount — it is a category difference. If you do not want a CGM on your arm, Nuvo does not require one.

Privacy is structural. Levels is an account and cloud membership (Data Linked to You). Nuvo requires no account and uses the Apple privacy label Data Not Collected. If you will not put longitudinal glucose and labs on a membership account, Nuvo is the one built for that constraint. More on that architecture: health app privacy and on-device AI.

Can you use both?

Yes. That is the honest answer for readers who already bought a CGM membership. Wear Levels for meal-level glucose coaching. Let HealthKit (Apple Watch, Oura, Garmin) plus an optional lab PDF feed Nuvo’s daily biological age. They do not cancel each other; one is a metabolic/CGM system, the other is a daily age readout.

If the only job is “coach me off glucose and meals,” stop at Levels. If the only job is “daily biological age from 21 biomarkers, privately, on iPhone,” stop at Nuvo. If you already pay for Levels, stacking is the usual move. Download app.

Habits that actually move aging markers — sleep, aerobic fitness, glucose, inflammation — are covered in How to reduce biological age. This page is only about which product to buy for which job.

Pricing math without invented discounts

Levels membership on the US App Store and support pricing page (18 June 2026): $15/month or $80/year. Optional add-ons on that page: Stelo $89/shipment or $99 one-time two-pack; Basic Lab $99; Comprehensive Lab $399; nutritionist $250. Homepage bundles still listed: Core $499/year, Complete $1,999/year. We do not invent an all-in “typical year” because sensor count and lab SKU vary.

Nuvo: $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial. No CGM and no Quest draw is bundled.

Those dollars buy different things. Say so. Many ICP readers already spent the CGM money; the remaining question is whether they also want a daily 21-biomarker biological age. That is the Nuvo add, not a rip-and-replace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I pick Nuvo or Levels?
Pick Levels if you want metabolic coaching with optional CGM, meal scores, and a membership account ($15/month or $80/year for the app, with sensors and labs extra or bundled in Core/Complete). Pick Nuvo if you want a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers on iPhone and Apple Watch, optional lab PDF in that same score, on-device AI, no account, and $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. If you already use Levels, you can stack: Levels for glucose, Nuvo for daily biological age.

Does Levels calculate a daily biological age like Nuvo?
Not on Levels’ public product pages we checked. With a connected CGM, Levels shows glucose, meal Glucose Response scores (0–10), and a 24-hour Stability Score (60–100). That is metabolic/glucose coaching. It is not Nuvo’s daily 21-biomarker biological age, and it does not fuse optional labs into that same daily clock.

How much do Levels and Nuvo cost?
Levels app membership is $15/month or $80/year on the US App Store listing and support pricing page checked 9 September 2026. CGM sensors and lab panels are optional add-ons on that page (Stelo $89/shipment or $99 two-pack; Basic $99; Comprehensive $399). The homepage still lists Core at $499/year and Complete at $1,999/year. Nuvo is $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial, with no sensor required.

Can Nuvo use my Levels or CGM data?
Nuvo reads HealthKit from Apple Watch, Oura, or Garmin, plus an optional lab PDF. It does not ingest Levels’ Glucose Response or Stability scores as its biological-age inputs. If you already paid for Levels labs, you can add that PDF into Nuvo’s 21-biomarker score. Wear Levels for CGM coaching; use Nuvo for the daily age number. You do not have to pick only one app.

Does Nuvo require an account?
No. Nuvo uses on-device private AI and no account. Apple’s privacy label is Data Not Collected. Levels membership is account-based; Apple’s privacy label for Levels is Data Linked to You.

How many biomarkers does Nuvo use?
21 longevity biomarkers. They combine HealthKit wearable inputs with optional labs such as HbA1c, fasting glucose, HDL, CRP, creatinine, and more. Levels’ lab add-ons are separate SKUs (28+ or 100+ markers depending on panel). Those panels are not Nuvo’s 21-marker daily score.

Is this medical advice?
No. This comparison is educational. Neither Levels nor Nuvo replaces care, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed clinician. Levels states the app is for general-wellness purposes only. Lab results, CGM readings, and wearable scores should be reviewed with a qualified professional.
