Nuvo vs NOVOS Age: Daily Biological Age App or Epigenetic Kit?

Pick NOVOS Age for a $349 epigenetic finger-prick kit. Pick Nuvo for a daily 21-biomarker bio age on iPhone. Complementary, not substitutes.

Nuvo vs NOVOS Age: daily biological-age iPhone app compared with an at-home epigenetic finger-prick kit

Choose NOVOS Age if you want a periodic epigenetic snapshot from one at-home finger-prick: biological age, pace of aging (DunedinPACE), ages for 11 organs and systems, and an epigenetic telomere-length estimate, reported weeks after the lab receives the card. The public list price is $349 for one kit, or $299 per kit when you buy two or more. Choose Nuvo if you want a daily biological age on the iPhone and Apple Watch you already own, from 21 biomarkers (HealthKit plus an optional conventional lab PDF), with on-device AI, no account, and $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. They answer different jobs. The kit is the deep methylation read you repeat months apart. Nuvo is the morning score for sleep, HRV, training, and labs you already have. If you already bought NOVOS Age and still want that daily number, you can stack them.

Written by the Nuvo Longevity editorial team at Firefly Labs LLC, the developer of Nuvo. NOVOS details below are taken from NOVOS’s public Age, Core, Boost, shop, Life, FaceAge, ENABL Age, and privacy-policy pages, plus the NOVOS Life App Store listing, checked 2 October 2026. Kit and supplement prices are the public list and schema.org offer figures on those pages that day. This page is educational and is not medical advice. An epigenetic age, a wearable score, and a supplement are not a diagnosis or a treatment plan.

What each product actually sells

NOVOS Age: a finger-prick epigenetic kit, plus a supplement shelf

NOVOS Age (novoslabs.com) is an at-home finger-prick blood-spot kit. The product page (checked 2 October 2026) says one sample returns four results: Biological Age, Pace of Aging using DunedinPACE, Organ Ages for 11 systems from a Yale-developed algorithm, and Telomere Length. The same page says the kit tracks 150+ biomarkers across 850,000 DNA methylation sites on the MethylationEPIC array, and that telomere length here is an algorithmic estimate from epigenetics, included with the other three results. You also get a 55-page report and, with the kit, free access to the NOVOS Life AI longevity coach.

The kit includes lancets, a blood-spot card, alcohol wipe, gauze, bandage, instructions, and a prepaid return envelope. NOVOS says this is not a clinic blood draw. Their FAQ says most people retest after 6 to 12 months, because pace of aging shifts over months rather than weeks, and that you should test fasted, at a similar time of day, so repeats are comparable. Timing on the same page is written two ways: the hero says results in 3 to 5 weeks; the how-it-works section and FAQ say the 55-page report arrives 2 to 4 weeks after the lab receives the sample. Availability on that page is the United States and Canada. HSA and FSA eligible. One-time purchase, no membership: $349 for one kit, $299 per kit for two or more.

NOVOS also says the test does not sequence your DNA. It measures DNA methylation. Their Age page says you own the results, you can request account and data deletion, they do not sell personal health data, the sample is destroyed after testing and quality control, and de-identified data may be used for research. Organ ages are labeled wellness information, not a clinical assessment of organ health.

The kit sits next to a supplement line. On 2 October 2026 the shop collection listed NOVOS Core from $2.60/day and NOVOS Boost (250 mg NMN, 60 capsules) from $1.05/day. Schema.org offers on those product pages, same day, listed Core at $109 one-time, $98 paid monthly, $93.16 for 6-month prepaid, and $79.16 for 1-year prepaid; Boost at $44 one-time, $39.50 paid monthly, thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents for 6-month prepaid, and $32.08 for 1-year prepaid. The shop’s “from $2.60/day” matches $79.16 × 12 / 365, so we read $79.16 as the per-box annual prepaid price, not a $79.16 yearly total. Those are supplements. They are not the epigenetic kit, and they are not a daily wearable score.

NOVOS Life, FaceAge, and a questionnaire age

NOVOS Life is NOVOS’s free companion app: a biological-age assessment, daily actions, a lifestyle score, and an AI coach. The App Store listing (id 6468173076, seller AgeLess Science Inc., checked 2 October 2026) repeats that flow and says the app is general wellness information, not medical advice. iTunes lookup that day: 4.6 from 34 US ratings. The public description does not describe an Apple Watch or HealthKit daily biological age.

Two other free NOVOS tools are easy to mix up with the kit. FaceAge estimates perceived facial age from a photo. NOVOS’s own page says that is a visual estimate, not a measure of biological age, and that taking the result adds you to their newsletter. ENABL Age is NOVOS’s free questionnaire biological-age clock (they describe it as survey-based, from University of Washington work). A FaceAge photo and a lifestyle questionnaire are not DunedinPACE, and they are not Nuvo’s 21-biomarker daily score.

Nuvo: a daily 21-biomarker score

Nuvo Longevity (App Store: Nuvo: Longevity Coach, id 6762535065) is an iPhone and Apple Watch app. It is not an Android app. It calculates a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers: Apple Health / HealthKit data from Apple Watch, Oura, or Garmin, plus optional lab PDF upload so conventional results you already paid for (HbA1c, fasting glucose, HDL, CRP, creatinine, and more) sit in the same score.

Coaching runs as on-device private AI (Nuvo Intelligence). There is no account. Apple’s privacy nutrition label for Nuvo is Data Not Collected. Health data stays on the phone. Price is $4.99/month or $24.99/year after a 7-day trial — $24.99/year is $2.08/month billed annually. Nuvo does not mail a methylation kit, does not report DunedinPACE, and does not sell NOVOS Core or Boost.

Nuvo is not a finger-prick epigenetic panel, an organ-age report, or a telomere estimate. If the job is “mail a blood spot and get DunedinPACE, organ ages, and a telomere estimate from one sample,” that is NOVOS Age. If the job is “one daily biological age from 21 biomarkers, including optional labs, privately, on the phone you already carry,” that is Nuvo. Comparison table

NOVOS Age Nuvo Longevity
Job to be done Periodic epigenetic snapshot from one finger-prick blood spot: biological age, pace of aging, 11 organ ages, and a telomere-length estimate, plus a 55-page report. Supplements (Core, Boost) and the NOVOS Life app are separate products on the same shelf. One daily biological age from 21 biomarkers on the iPhone and Apple Watch you already own, with optional conventional labs you already paid for.
Daily score? No daily wearable biological age. NOVOS says retest the kit after 6–12 months. NOVOS Life’s lifestyle score and questionnaire age update with app use; that is not DunedinPACE and not an Apple Watch clock. Yes. Recalculated daily from 21 biomarkers so sleep, HRV, training, and optional labs can sit in one number.
What is measured DNA methylation from a blood spot (MethylationEPIC; NOVOS says 150+ biomarkers and 850,000 sites). Pace of aging is DunedinPACE. Organ ages are a Yale-developed 11-system algorithm. Telomere length is an epigenetic estimate. Does not sequence DNA. Wearable and optional conventional labs via HealthKit and lab PDF — HRV, sleep, fitness, and chemistry such as HbA1c or CRP. Not a methylation clock.
Wearable? The kit is not a wearable. The NOVOS Life App Store description we checked does not sell an Apple Watch daily bio-age score. iPhone + Apple Watch app. Not Android. HealthKit from Apple Watch, Garmin, or Oura.
Privacy / account Account product. Privacy policy (last updated 26 June 2026) covers account registration, health and lifestyle data, sharing with the laboratory as a vendor, and de-identified research with consent. NOVOS says it does not sell personal information collected on the site. Face images for FaceAge are kept on US servers until you request deletion. NOVOS Life AI prompts are sent to Google; NOVOS says Google is not permitted to retain those inputs or train on them. No account. On-device private AI (Nuvo Intelligence). Apple privacy label: Data Not Collected. Data stays on the phone, is not sent to Nuvo servers, and is not sold. See on-device AI and privacy.
Price ballpark (US public, 2 Oct 2026) Age kit: $349 one kit, or $299 per kit for two or more. One-time, no membership. HSA/FSA eligible. Ships US and Canada. Core schema offers: $109 one-time, $98 monthly, $93.16 (6-month prepaid), $79.16 (1-year prepaid per box). Boost schema offers: $44 one-time, $39.50 monthly, thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents (6-month prepaid), $32.08 (1-year prepaid). Shop line: Core from $2.60/day, Boost from $1.05/day. NOVOS Life app is free. We do not invent a kit-plus-supplement bundle discount those pages do not print. $4.99/month or $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. No kit and no lab draw is bundled.
Best for People who want a methylation pace-of-aging, organ-age, and telomere snapshot and will wait weeks, then retest months later. Also the path if you specifically want NOVOS Core or Boost. People who want one daily 21-biomarker biological age on the iPhone they already own, optional labs they already paid for, no account, at $24.99/year.
Ratings we could check NOVOS Age’s own product page listed 4.9 from 236 ratings on 2 October 2026. That is NOVOS’s storefront figure, not an App Store count we re-audited. NOVOS Life on the US App Store: 4.6 from 34 ratings (iTunes lookup, same day). Honestly thin: 5.0 from 4 US ratings (iTunes lookup, 2 October 2026). Do not treat that as a large review corpus. These 4 ratings and NOVOS’s 236 ratings are different sites. We do not publish a schema.org rating object for either product.

What each “biological age” actually measures

NOVOS Age’s pace-of-aging result is DunedinPACE, a DNA-methylation biomarker of the pace of aging. The primary paper is Belsky DW et al., DunedinPACE, a DNA methylation biomarker of the pace of aging, eLife 2022;11:e73420 (PMID 35029144; eLife). The Dunedin Study team built it from within-person change in indicators of organ-system integrity, then distilled that into a single-time-point blood methylation test. The paper reports high test-retest reliability and associations with morbidity, disability, and mortality. NOVOS’s product page also says the clock has a precision score greater than 0.96 ICC and is backed by 45+ publications from 30+ laboratories. That ICC figure and the publication count are NOVOS’s claims on the page we checked; the eLife abstract itself says “high test-retest reliability,” and we are not restating 0.96 as a number we recomputed from the paper.

Organ ages on the NOVOS Age page are attributed to a Yale-developed algorithm covering 11 systems from one blood sample. The peer-reviewed Yale paper that matches that description is Sehgal R et al., Systems Age: a single blood methylation test to quantify aging heterogeneity across 11 physiological systems, Nature Aging 2025;5(9):1880–1896 (PMID 40954326). It reports methylation scores for heart, lung, kidney, liver, brain, immune, inflammatory, blood, musculoskeletal, hormone, and metabolic systems. NOVOS’s page does not print that PMID. We cite the paper because it is the published 11-system Yale methylation clock. We have not audited NOVOS’s laboratory pipeline against the paper’s supplement.

A whole-body epigenetic age, a pace (years of biological aging per calendar year), 11 system ages, and an epigenetic telomere estimate are four different outputs. None of them is a morning wearable score. NOVOS Life’s questionnaire age (ENABL Age) and FaceAge (a photo of your face) are different instruments again. Nuvo’s 21 biomarkers are wearable signals plus optional conventional labs, recalculated daily on device. Nuvo does not implement DunedinPACE, Systems Age, or a telomere clock.

Can they stack?

Yes — that is the honest adjacent-jobs answer. Use NOVOS Age when you want the methylation snapshot and can wait for the card to come back, then retest on the 6–12 month cadence NOVOS recommends. Use Nuvo for the daily 21-biomarker trend on HealthKit. Nuvo does not ingest a NOVOS Age report as DunedinPACE, organ ages, or telomere length. If a conventional lab PDF you already have includes markers such as HbA1c, fasting glucose, HDL, CRP, or creatinine, that PDF can sit in Nuvo’s 21-biomarker score. A methylation PDF does not become Nuvo’s daily clock, and Nuvo does not replace the kit.

If you only want the epigenetic panel, stop at NOVOS Age. If you only want the daily score, stop at Nuvo. If you already paid $349 for the kit and still want to see whether last night’s sleep or today’s training showed up in a morning number, add Nuvo. Core and Boost remain a third decision: a supplement subscription, not a substitute for either measurement.

Privacy

NOVOS Age is an account and laboratory product. The privacy policy (last updated 26 June 2026) says NOVOS collects personal information when you create an account or buy, and health data when you use surveys, questionnaires, or diagnostic products — including demographics, conditions, family history, medications, and lifestyle. Results are processed with a laboratory partner. NOVOS says it does not sell personal information collected on the site, does not use health information for marketing, and may use de-identified data for research with consent. FaceAge images are stored on US servers until you ask for deletion. NOVOS Life may send chat prompts, profile fields, health variables, and images you upload to Google to generate the coach reply; the policy says Google is not permitted to retain those inputs or train its models on them. That is a normal design for a kit, an account, and a cloud coach. It is not Nuvo’s design.

Nuvo requires no account and uses the Apple privacy label Data Not Collected. Coaching is on-device. Data stays on the phone and is not sold. If you will not mail a blood spot or keep methylation results on a NOVOS account, do not buy NOVOS Age. If you will not put longitudinal wearable and lab data on an app account, Nuvo is the one built for that constraint. Architecture notes: health app privacy and on-device AI.

Where NOVOS wins

NOVOS Age wins if the job is a methylation snapshot you cannot get from a watch. DunedinPACE, 11 organ-system ages, and an epigenetic telomere estimate from one finger-prick are the product. Nuvo does not claim to beat NOVOS at pace-of-aging, organ ages, or telomere length. If that panel is what you came to buy, buy the kit — and read it as informational, which is how NOVOS labels it, not as a diagnosis.

NOVOS also wins if you do not own an iPhone, if you want a number you can show a clinician who already uses the kit (their page says more than 1,000 medical providers use it in clinics; that is their claim), or if you want the Core / Boost supplement line on the same shelf. Review volume is not close. Their Age page showed 236 ratings. Nuvo’s App Store presence is early: 4 ratings. We are not going to inflate four ratings into social proof.

Where Nuvo wins

Nuvo wins on the daily biological-age job. NOVOS Age updates when you mail another card, on a 6–12 month cadence, after a multi-week lab wait. NOVOS Life can coach habits between kits. It does not, on the pages we checked, print a morning score from Apple Watch HRV and sleep. Nuvo recalculates a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers so sleep, HRV, training, and optional labs can sit in one number without another finger-prick.

Nuvo wins on price if you already own an iPhone (and often an Apple Watch) and the job is daily tracking. $24.99/year versus $349 for one kit is not a like-for-like discount — it is a category difference. One kit costs about as much as 14 years of Nuvo’s annual plan (24.99 × 14 = $349.86). Say so, and then buy the object you actually wanted. If you wanted organ ages, the cheaper app does not sell them.

Privacy is structural. NOVOS Age is an account, a mailed sample, a lab vendor, and a cloud coach. Nuvo is no account and Data Not Collected. Conventional labs in Nuvo are optional PDFs in the same 21-biomarker score. Those panels do not become DunedinPACE, and the kit does not become Nuvo’s daily clock.

Who wins for which user

Buy NOVOS Age if you want biological age, DunedinPACE, 11 organ ages, and a telomere estimate from one blood spot, and you will retest months later. Buy Nuvo if you want a daily 21-biomarker biological age on iPhone and Apple Watch, privately, at $24.99/year. Buy both if you already ordered the kit and still want a morning wearable score while you wait for the report, and between retests. Buy Core or Boost only if you want those supplements; they do not replace either measurement.

If the only job is “epigenetic pace of aging and organ ages from a finger-prick,” stop at NOVOS Age. If the only job is “daily biological age from 21 biomarkers, privately, on iPhone,” stop at Nuvo. Download app.

Habits that actually move aging markers — sleep, aerobic fitness, glucose, inflammation — are covered in How to reduce biological age. This page is only about which product to buy for which job. For TruDiagnostic’s blood-spot TruAge methylation kit, see Nuvo vs TruDiagnostic (TruAge). For Tally Health’s cheek-swab kit, see Nuvo vs Tally Health.

Pricing math without invented discounts

NOVOS Age, public list price checked 2 October 2026 on the Age product page: $349 for one kit, $299 per kit for two or more ($50 less per kit). One-time. No membership is required to see the result. Two kits at the multi-kit price are $598. HSA/FSA eligible. United States and Canada. Tax and checkout can differ — cite the product page at purchase time.

Supplements, schema.org offers on the product pages the same day, are separate. Core: $109 one-time, $98 paid monthly, $93.16 for 6-month prepaid, $79.16 for 1-year prepaid. Boost: $44 one-time, $39.50 paid monthly, thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents for 6-month prepaid, $32.08 for 1-year prepaid. The shop also prints Core from $2.60/day and Boost from $1.05/day, which lines up with the 1-year prepaid box prices spread over 365 days ($79.16 × 12 / 365 ≈ $2.60; $32.08 × 12 / 365 ≈ $1.05). NOVOS Life is a free app. We do not invent a post-promo annual total or a kit-plus-Core bundle price those pages do not print as a single offer.

Nuvo: $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial. No mailed sample is bundled.

Those dollars buy different things. Comparing $349 once to $24.99/year as if they purchased the same object is a category error. Many people who already paid for NOVOS Age still want a daily 21-biomarker number between retests. That is the Nuvo add, not a rip-and-replace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I pick Nuvo or NOVOS Age?
Pick NOVOS Age if you want an at-home finger-prick epigenetic kit: biological age, DunedinPACE pace of aging, 11 organ ages, and an epigenetic telomere estimate, with a 55-page report. Public list price checked 2 October 2026 is $349 for one kit, or $299 per kit for two or more. Pick Nuvo if you want a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers on iPhone and Apple Watch, optional conventional lab PDF in that same score, on-device AI, no account, and $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. If you already bought the kit, you can stack: NOVOS Age for the methylation snapshot, Nuvo for the daily 21-biomarker trend.

Is NOVOS a biological age app?
NOVOS Age is a mailed epigenetic kit, not a daily wearable app. NOVOS Life is a free companion app for a biological-age assessment, daily actions, and a lifestyle score. FaceAge estimates how old a face looks in a photo, which NOVOS says is not biological age. ENABL Age is a free questionnaire clock. None of those is Nuvo’s daily 21-biomarker HealthKit score.

Can I use Nuvo with NOVOS Age?
Yes. They are complementary. NOVOS Age is the periodic methylation panel. Nuvo is the daily 21-biomarker readout on HealthKit plus optional conventional lab PDFs. Nuvo does not read DunedinPACE, organ ages, or telomere length out of a NOVOS report. You do not have to pick only one product. Core and Boost are a separate supplement purchase.

Does NOVOS Age include DunedinPACE and organ ages?
Yes, on the public Age page checked 2 October 2026. One finger-prick returns biological age, pace of aging via DunedinPACE, organ ages for 11 systems, and telomere length as an epigenetic estimate. NOVOS says most people retest after 6 to 12 months. The report is described as arriving 2 to 4 weeks after the lab receives the sample; the hero on the same page also says 3 to 5 weeks.

How much do NOVOS Age and Nuvo cost?
NOVOS Age is $349 for one kit, or $299 per kit when you order two or more (checked 2 October 2026). It is a one-time purchase, not a membership. NOVOS Core’s schema.org offers that day ran from $79.16 (1-year prepaid) to $109 one-time; Boost from $32.08 (1-year prepaid) to $44 one-time. The shop prints Core from $2.60/day and Boost from $1.05/day. NOVOS Life is free. Nuvo is $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial, with no kit required.

Does Nuvo measure epigenetic age or DunedinPACE?
No. Nuvo is an iPhone and Apple Watch app. It calculates a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers (HealthKit wearables plus optional conventional labs such as HbA1c, fasting glucose, HDL, CRP, and creatinine). It does not run a DNA methylation clock, DunedinPACE, a Yale organ-age model, or a telomere assay. It is not Android.

Does Nuvo require an account?
No. Nuvo uses on-device private AI and no account. Apple’s privacy label is Data Not Collected; data stays on the phone. NOVOS Age is an account and lab product. NOVOS’s privacy policy (last updated 26 June 2026) describes account registration, health data, a laboratory partner, and NOVOS Life prompts sent to Google. Nuvo uses 21 longevity biomarkers. NOVOS Age’s methylation panel is a different assay.

Is this medical advice?
No. This comparison is educational and is not medical advice. Neither NOVOS Age nor Nuvo replaces care, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed clinician. NOVOS labels its age results as informational, not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Epigenetic clocks, wearable scores, and supplements should be reviewed with a qualified professional.
