Nuvo vs Ultrahuman: Daily Biological Age App vs Ring + Blood Vision
compare Nuvo’s on-device daily biological age (Apple Watch + optional labs) with Ultrahuman’s Ring + Blood Vision stack for data-driven optimizers.
Written by the Nuvo Longevity editorial team at Firefly Labs LLC.
Choose Ultrahuman if you want a smart ring (Ring AIR or Ring PRO) plus the Ultrahuman app’s sleep, movement, and recovery scores — and, if you are buying the full optimizer stack, Blood Vision lab panels that Ultrahuman correlates with ring data via UltraTrace. Choose Nuvo if you want a daily biological age on iPhone and Apple Watch from 21 biomarkers — HealthKit wearables plus optional lab PDF — with on-device AI, no account, and $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. Ultrahuman is hardware plus optional labs in one ecosystem. Nuvo is a daily age readout on the phone and watch you already carry. Many people who already bought the ring still want that daily 21-biomarker number; they can stack.
Written by the Nuvo Longevity editorial team at Firefly Labs LLC, the developer of Nuvo. Ultrahuman details below are taken from Ultrahuman’s public US Ring buy page, Blood Vision pages, Ultra Age and Apple Health blog posts, privacy policy, and the US App Store listing (id 1491286709), checked 11 September 2026. Blood Vision list prices can vary by ZIP and state; figures below are the US public prices on those pages, labeled where approximate. This page is educational and is not medical advice.
What each product actually sells
Ultrahuman: a ring, an app, and optional Blood Vision labs
Ultrahuman (ULTRAHUMAN HEALTHCARE PRIVATE LIMITED) sells a titanium smart ring and the Ultrahuman app (id 1491286709). The US App Store listing (checked 11 September 2026) says the app builds a unified dashboard from ring metrics — sleep, activity, heart rate, HRV, skin temperature, and SpO2 — into scores for sleep quality, physical activity, recovery, and cardiovascular health, plus an optional daily Metabolic Score when a CGM is connected. The listing is explicit: Ultrahuman’s products are for general fitness and wellness, are not medical devices, and are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Hardware we checked on the US Ring buy page (11 September 2026): Ring AIR $349 and Ring PRO $479 (one-time, tax excluded on that page). Ultrahuman’s own FAQ on that page: there is no recurring subscription to access ring data — “lifelong access to both the ring and your personal data” after the hardware purchase. Optional PowerPlugs (for example Cardio Adaptability on the same page) are separate add-ons, not required for core ring scores. The app is iOS (16.0+) and Android. You create an Ultrahuman account.
The blood half of the stack is Blood Vision. Ultrahuman’s Blood Vision launch post (15 July 2025) describes at-home or clinic draws (Quest or BioReference in the US), an initial 100+ biomarker panel, a follow-up 60+ panel, an AI clinician summary, a supplement report, and UltraTrace™ correlation of blood markers with ring sleep, movement, recovery, and optional CGM. The US Blood Vision buy page (checked 11 September 2026) lists two public plans after you enter a ZIP — prices “may vary based on your state and lab test location”:
- Essential — $99 every 6 months (US list): 60+ biomarkers, Blood Age, clinician summary, supplement report.
- Annual — $499/year (US list): comprehensive 100+ blood and urine biomarkers plus a 60+ follow-up, with Advanced Blood Age, clinician summary, and supplement report.
Ultrahuman also publishes an aging composite that is not Nuvo’s daily 21-biomarker biological age. Ultra Age (10 June 2025) combines Brain Age (sleep / “brain waste clearance”), Pulse Age (PPG arterial flexibility), and Blood Age. Blood Age is available if you have completed a Blood Vision test (Ultrahuman names US and India). That is a ring-plus-optional-labs aging tile, not a daily 21-biomarker clock that also takes a lab PDF you already paid someone else for.
Ultrahuman writes selected metrics into Apple Health. The official guide How to connect Ultrahuman Ring AIR and Apple Health (30 May 2025) documents HealthKit sync for HRV, temperature, energy expenditure, and related ring types, plus glucose if you use Ultrahuman M1. That HealthKit path is how an Ultrahuman Ring can feed Nuvo.
Nuvo: a daily 21-biomarker score
Nuvo Longevity (App Store: Nuvo: Longevity Coach, id 6762535065) is an iPhone and Apple Watch app. It calculates a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers: Apple Health / HealthKit data from Apple Watch, Oura, or Garmin, plus optional lab PDF upload so results you already paid for sit in the same score.
Coaching runs as on-device private AI (Nuvo Intelligence). There is no account. Apple’s privacy nutrition label for Nuvo is Data Not Collected. Price is $4.99/month or $24.99/year after a 7-day trial — $24.99/year is $2.08/month billed annually. Nuvo is not Android and does not sell a ring, a CGM, or a Quest draw.
Nuvo is not Ultrahuman’s Sleep Index, Movement Index, recovery scores, Metabolic Score, Ultra Age, Brain Age, Pulse Age, or Blood Age. It does not replace a ring you wear 24/7 or a 60–100+ marker Blood Vision membership. If the job is “smart ring plus optional 100+ labs in one Ultrahuman dashboard,” that is Ultrahuman. If the job is “one daily biological age from 21 biomarkers, including optional labs, privately, on the phone you already carry,” that is Nuvo. Download app. For the wider field, see our 2026 biological age app comparison. For another ring contrast, see Nuvo vs Oura. For a 160+ lab membership rather than Blood Vision, see Nuvo vs Function Health. For a CGM metabolic coach, see Nuvo vs Levels.
Comparison table
| Ultrahuman Ring + Blood Vision | Nuvo Longevity | |
|---|---|---|
| Form factor | Smart ring (Ring AIR $349 or Ring PRO $479 US list, 11 Sep 2026) plus iOS/Android app. Optional Blood Vision lab draws. Ring required for the wearable scores; Blood Vision is a separate SKU. | iPhone + Apple Watch app. No proprietary ring. $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial. |
| Biomarkers / data sources | Ring: sleep, movement, HR, HRV, temperature, SpO2. Optional CGM for Metabolic Score. Blood Vision: 60+ (Essential) or 100+ then 60+ follow-up (Annual) blood/urine markers. UltraTrace correlates ring lifestyle with blood markers. | HealthKit from Apple Watch, Oura, or Garmin, plus optional lab PDF into the same 21-biomarker daily score. No ring SKU and no scheduled draw. |
| Biological age vs recovery / metabolic metrics | Daily headline scores are sleep, movement, and recovery. Ultra Age combines Brain Age, Pulse Age, and (if you did Blood Vision) Blood Age — not Nuvo’s daily 21-biomarker biological age. Blood Age updates when you complete a panel, not every morning from wearables alone. | One daily biological age from 21 biomarkers on iPhone and Apple Watch. Recalculated daily so sleep, HRV, training, and optional labs can sit in one number. |
| Privacy / account | Ultrahuman account. Cloud app. US App Store privacy label: Data Linked to You (Location, Contact Info, User Content, Identifiers, Usage Data); Diagnostics not linked. Privacy policy documents Apple Health and other integrations. Account-based, not on-device-only. | No account. On-device private AI (Nuvo Intelligence). Apple privacy label: Data Not Collected. Data is not sent to Nuvo servers and is not sold. See on-device AI and privacy. |
| Pricing ballpark (US public, 11 Sep 2026) | Ring AIR ~$349 or Ring PRO ~$479 one-time; Ultrahuman says no subscription for ring data. Blood Vision US list: ~$99 every 6 months (Essential) or ~$499/year (Annual). ZIP/state can change Blood Vision price — cite the buy page. Optional PowerPlugs extra. | $4.99/month or $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. No ring and no lab draw is bundled. |
| Daily actionability | Ring scores move every day. Blood Vision is a draw-and-report loop (partial results same day; final reports can take up to 21 days on Ultrahuman’s FAQ). UltraTrace is the “what did sleep do to this blood marker” layer after you have both. | Daily biological age plus on-device coaching on the iPhone/Watch you already own. Optional labs land in that same daily clock when you upload a PDF. |
| Who it’s for | Data-driven optimizers who want a 24/7 ring and will pay for hardware plus, often, Blood Vision’s 60–100+ marker panels in one Ultrahuman account. | People who want one daily 21-biomarker biological age on the iPhone they already own, optional labs they already paid for, no account, at $24.99/year. |
| App Store ratings | US iTunes lookup on 11 September 2026: about 4.53 from 7,926 ratings for “Ultrahuman.” Cite the listing; we do not publish a schema.org rating object on this page. | Honestly thin: 5.0 from 4 US ratings. Do not treat that as a large review corpus. |
Biomarkers and wearables
Ultrahuman’s wearable layer is the ring. Sleep Index, Movement Index, recovery (HRV, temperature, resting heart rate), and optional Metabolic Score (CGM) are the daily loop. Blood Vision is the lab layer: Essential’s 60+ markers or Annual’s 100+ then 60+ follow-up, including the panels Ultrahuman lists on the Blood Vision page (heart, thyroid, immune, hormones, diabetes, nutrients, and — on Annual — advanced lipids, inflammation, heavy metals, urine). Nuvo does not sell those draws. Nuvo’s 21 biomarkers combine HealthKit wearable inputs with optional labs such as HbA1c, fasting glucose, HDL, CRP, creatinine, and more — including a PDF you already paid Ultrahuman, Function, or a clinician for.
If you already wear Ring AIR, enable Ultrahuman’s Apple Health export. Nuvo reads HealthKit. That is stacking, not a rip-and-replace. Nuvo does not ingest Ultra Age, Blood Age, or Ultrahuman’s Metabolic Score as named inputs.
Biological age vs Ultrahuman scores
Do not treat the products as two skins of the same clock. Ultrahuman’s daily job is sleep, movement, and recovery on a ring. Ultra Age is a composite of Brain Age, Pulse Age, and Blood Age; Blood Age requires a Blood Vision test. Nuvo’s job is a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers on iPhone and Apple Watch, with optional labs in that same number. A Blood Vision Biological Age / Blood Age after a draw is not Nuvo’s daily 21-biomarker score, and Nuvo is not UltraTrace.
Privacy
Ultrahuman is an account and cloud product. Apple’s privacy nutrition label for the Ultrahuman app is Data Linked to You. The Ultrahuman privacy policy describes collection for the ring, Blood Vision, and integrations including Apple Health. That is a normal design for a hardware-plus-labs ecosystem. It is not Nuvo’s design.
Nuvo requires no account and uses the Apple privacy label Data Not Collected. Coaching is on-device. If you will not put longitudinal ring, glucose, and blood panels on a membership account, Nuvo is the one built for that constraint. Architecture notes: health app privacy and on-device AI.
Where Ultrahuman wins
Ultrahuman wins if the job is a 24/7 ring plus optional 100+ labs in one dashboard. Ring AIR / Ring PRO plus Blood Vision plus UltraTrace is the product they sell to optimizers who want hardware, blood, and (optionally) CGM under one brand. Nuvo does not claim to beat Ultrahuman at overnight ring sleep staging, Movement Index, or a 100+ marker Quest/BioReference panel Ultrahuman schedules for you. If that is the product you came to buy, buy Ultrahuman.
Ultrahuman also wins on no ring-data subscription after you pay for the hardware — a real contrast with Oura Membership (see Nuvo vs Oura). Blood Vision is still a separate recurring lab SKU. Scale is not close. Ultrahuman’s US listing had on the order of 7,926 ratings when we looked it up. Nuvo’s App Store presence is early: 4 ratings. That gap is real. We are not going to inflate four ratings into social proof, and we do not publish a schema.org rating object for Nuvo.
Where Nuvo wins
Nuvo wins on the daily biological-age job. Ultrahuman’s headline loop is ring recovery and sleep; Blood Age sits behind a Blood Vision draw. Nuvo recalculates a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers so sleep, HRV, training, and optional labs can sit in one number without buying another piece of titanium.
Nuvo wins on price if you already own an iPhone (and often an Apple Watch or a ring). $24.99/year versus a $349–$479 ring plus ~$198–$499/year in Blood Vision (Essential twice a year vs Annual) is not a like-for-like discount — it is a category difference. If you do not want another ring, Nuvo does not require one.
Privacy is structural. Ultrahuman is account/cloud (Data Linked to You). Nuvo is no account and Data Not Collected. Labs in Nuvo are optional PDFs in the same 21-biomarker score, including work you already paid Blood Vision for. Those panels do not become Nuvo’s daily clock unless you also add them in Nuvo.
Who wins for which user
Buy Ultrahuman if you want the ring-plus-blood optimizer stack and will wear the ring at night. Buy Nuvo if you want a daily 21-biomarker biological age on iPhone and Apple Watch, privately, at $24.99/year. Buy both if you already paid for Ring AIR / Blood Vision and still want a daily age number from HealthKit plus that lab PDF. They do not cancel each other; one is a ring-and-labs ecosystem, the other is a daily age readout.
If the only job is “sleep and recovery on a ring, plus 100+ labs in Ultrahuman,” stop at Ultrahuman. If the only job is “daily biological age from 21 biomarkers, privately, on iPhone,” stop at Nuvo. Download app.
Habits that actually move aging markers — sleep, aerobic fitness, glucose, inflammation — are covered in How to reduce biological age. This page is only about which product to buy for which job.
Pricing math without invented discounts
Ultrahuman US Ring buy page (11 September 2026): Ring AIR $349, Ring PRO $479, no subscription for ring data. Blood Vision US buy page: Essential $99 every 6 months (~$198/year if you stay on that cadence) or Annual $499/year. Those Blood Vision figures are the public list prices on the page; Ultrahuman says they may vary by state and lab location — treat them as approximate until your ZIP confirms. Optional PowerPlugs are extra. Year-one hardware-plus-Annual-labs is on the order of $848–$978 before tax if you buy a ring and the $499 plan; we will not invent a “typical optimizer” total because ring model, ZIP, and PowerPlugs vary.
Nuvo: $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial. No ring and no Quest draw is bundled.
Those dollars buy different things. Say so. Many ICP readers already spent the ring and panel money; the remaining question is whether they also want a daily 21-biomarker biological age. That is the Nuvo add, not a rip-and-replace.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I pick Nuvo or Ultrahuman?
Pick Ultrahuman if you want a smart ring plus app for sleep, movement, and recovery, and — if you want the full stack — Blood Vision labs (US list about $99 every 6 months or $499/year) correlated with the ring via UltraTrace. Pick Nuvo if you want a daily biological age from 21 biomarkers on iPhone and Apple Watch, optional lab PDF in that same score, on-device AI, no account, and $24.99/year after a 7-day trial. If you already own an Ultrahuman Ring, you can stack: Ultrahuman via HealthKit feeds Nuvo.
Does Ultrahuman calculate a daily biological age like Nuvo?
Not as Nuvo defines it. Ultrahuman’s daily headline scores are sleep, movement, and recovery. Ultra Age combines Brain Age, Pulse Age, and Blood Age; Blood Age requires a completed Blood Vision test (Ultrahuman names US and India). That is not Nuvo’s daily 21-biomarker biological age, and it does not fuse an arbitrary lab PDF into that same daily clock.
How much do Ultrahuman and Nuvo cost?
Ultrahuman Ring AIR is $349 and Ring PRO is $479 on the US buy page we checked (11 September 2026), with no subscription for ring data. Blood Vision US list prices are about $99 every 6 months (Essential, 60+ markers) or $499/year (Annual, 100+ then 60+ follow-up); ZIP and state can change those lab prices. Nuvo is $4.99/month or $24.99/year ($2.08/month billed annually) after a 7-day trial, with no ring required.
Can Nuvo use my Ultrahuman Ring data?
Yes. Ultrahuman can export HRV, temperature, energy, sleep, and related types to Apple Health. Nuvo reads HealthKit from Apple Watch, Oura, or Garmin. Enable Ultrahuman’s Apple Health connection, then let Nuvo calculate the daily 21-biomarker age. If you already paid for Blood Vision, you can add that PDF into Nuvo’s score. You do not have to pick only one app.
Does Nuvo require an account?
No. Nuvo uses on-device private AI and no account. Apple’s privacy label is Data Not Collected. Ultrahuman is account-based; Apple’s privacy label for Ultrahuman is Data Linked to You. Nuvo uses 21 longevity biomarkers (HealthKit plus optional labs such as HbA1c, fasting glucose, HDL, CRP, creatinine); Blood Vision’s 60+ or 100+ panels are a different SKU.
Is this medical advice?
No. This comparison is educational. Neither Ultrahuman nor Nuvo replaces care, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed clinician. Ultrahuman states its products are not medical devices. Lab results and wearable scores should be reviewed with a qualified professional.
